The Mission Behind Our
Charity Foundation

The Funmilayo Memorial Charity Foundation is not-for-profit organization  established in memory of the late MRS. Funmilayo Begbaaji, who passed away in her late 30s. Although, her life was brief, it was profoundly impactful.

Despite facing poverty and never having the opportunity to receive an education, Mrs. Begbaaji had a deep love for learning. She endured domestic violence in an abusive marriage but always aspired for women to live better lives. Despite her own lack and poverty, she selflessly shared the little she had with others.

Mrs. Begbaaji dreamed of a good life for herself, a dream she never realized. However, she firmly believed  that everyone deserves a good life, regardless of their circumstances. Her willingness to go the extra mile for the welfare of her neighbors is a testament to her belief in universal well-being.

The foundation is built on her values and passion for humanity, which align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

We believe that everyone, whether rich or poor, man or woman, deserves a good life. This belief drives our mission to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
